Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear is an epic tale of sorrow, forgiveness, madness, and reconciliation. Led by director Eric Tucker, New York’s acclaimed Bedlam Theatre comes to BRT with a fresh interpretation of this Shakespeare classic.

Special Show Events

Be the first to see BRT’s exciting productions and then stay for AfterWords, a post-show discussion. Interact with the artists, learn about the production from their viewpoint, and exchange thoughts and ideas with fellow patrons.

The opening night performance of each show is followed by a catered reception at which you’ll meet the cast and artistic staff. Complimentary beer and pasta courtesy of Cold Spring Beverages and Cesare’s Ristorante.

The pre-show event starts at 7pm on the first Friday of each production. Enjoy beer courtesy of Cold Spring Beverages and appetizers courtesy of The Borough Pub, then hear a guest speaker discuss the show.

A great way to wind down midweek. The second Wednesday of each production kicks off at 6:30pm with crudité, desserts, and wine complimentary of Got Wine?.

Join us on the third Thursday of every production from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, for snacks and beer, courtesy Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co., Broken Goblet Brewing, Dog & Bull Brew & Music House and Philly Style Soft Pretzel.
