Bristol Riverside Theatre is a mid-sized regional theatre whose mission is to engage audiences and artists alike with exceptional performances, inspired writing, and superior productions that motivate us to think harder, to feel more deeply, to laugh more joyfully, and to reflect on ourselves and the world in which we live.

Located in the historic district of Bristol Borough, the theatre has a full-time staff of 14 employees, with most senior staff having been with the organization for a minimum of 10 years.

DESCRIPTION

We seek a part-time Bartender to work at our concessions stand approximately 4-12 hours per week, 25-27 weeks per year. Hours are primarily on nights, and weekends. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent leadership and verbal communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Friendly disposition and an ability to make guests feel welcome is essential to the job. Additional hours may be available to applicants who are interested in cross-training in other front of house positions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bartender performs the following duties:

  • Maintain accurate counts of concessions items before and after the performance
  • Keep a clean and organized bar area
  • Use our point-of-sales system to ring up all sales
  • Handle cash and card sales
  • Read sales report at the end of the shift and ensure the deposit matches

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The desired experience and qualifications for this position include:

  • Friendly and welcoming disposition
  • Team player
  • Food service experience (preferred)
  • Square POS experience (not required)
  • RAMP certification (not required)
