It is 1977 and Elsie Wright is being interviewed for a television broadcast. We learn of an extraordinary little girl’s adventure in 1920 in her family’s very ordinary garden with a camera given to her by her father. The magical pictures she takes change her life in the most unexpected and wonderful ways. She meets the legendary Conan Doyle and Houdini. Originally written as a musical, this fantastical story leads us through fifty glorious years.
The play was written by Allan Knee, the author of last year’s smash hit Little Women. His Broadway hit The Man Who was Peter Pan was later made into a Oscar nominated film starring Johnny Depp called Finding Neverland.
